In 4x11 „Till Death Do Us Part“ Beckett says. „Men, you all want to know but you don't want to know.“ Do you believe in this and why? Even if you're not a man – have there been things that you wanted to know but in the end you found out that you really didn't want to know it at all? Do you think it's sometimes good to know what you don't want to know and bad to not know what you want to know?

i do believe that. people are so nosy… myself included, and i think that we all think we WANT to know, and then when we find out, we’re all, ‘WHY’D YOU TELL ME THAT! UGHHH!!!’ haha. but it definitely depends on the circumstance. in a relationship, for instance it can be totally different, honesty and character wise. i mean, the person you choose to be your partner should be someone you know on the deepest level. i think there should be no ‘real’ secrets between couples. white lies are another thing… (see: any sitcom ever.) but deep secrets… someone cant know who you are if you withhold information. every little thing counts for a part of who you are. in this case, maybe an exact number isnt really important, but the reason BEHIND the number might be a good topic to share. ie— i think we all see from past episodes that Kate needs to learn why Castle handles his past love life and marriages the way he has, and if that is who he is, who the press wants him to be, or simply how he came off, intentional or not… before she can totally trust him. the more she’s finding out… the more she can move forward with him.

i’m loving these random castle episode related philosophical questions. THANK YOU! :))
